Description
MikroTik Cloud Core Router RB5009UPr+S+IN is a router for the most demanding deployments such as climate-demanding locations or as a universal device for testing in the quiet of the laboratory.
The router offers 9 different Ethernet ports and 1x USB 3.0 port. Seven ports are 1Gbps RJ45, another one is 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 and the last is a 10G SFP+ slot. All ports are connected to the powerful Marvell Amethyst family switching chip, which is connected to the Marvell Armada ARMv8 1.4 GHz quad-core processor via a 10 Gbps full-duplex link. This combination of ports and components (1GB DDR4 RAM and 1GB NAND storage) nearly doubles performance in CPU-heavy configurations compared to other products in this lineup.
In addition - both key components (CPU and switch chip) are located on the underside of the board to ensure the best cooling - chassis works like a massive cooler!
A huge advantage of the RB5009UPr+S+IN model (and at the same time the difference against the RB5009UG+S+IN) is the support of PoE-in and PoE-out on all ports! The power options are really rich:
- PoE-in from any port (or combination)
- DC Jack
- 2-pin terminal on the side
In addition, each of these variants supports a wide operating range of 24-25 V DC. If PoE-out is used, each port can deliver up to 25 W to the connected device, the total power budget is 130 W.This unprecedented computing power and connection options are packed into a very small and compact design, which is not a problem to place almost anywhere. For illustration - one classic 1U profile can fit up to 4 routers.
